A senior living community designed for successful aging.

Wellness is a way of life with Masterpiece Living®.

What makes the difference between growing and growing old? A landmark 10-year study by the MacArthur Foundation in conjunction with the Mayo Clinic revealed that 70 percent of physical aging and approximately 50 percent of mental aging is determined by the lifestyle choices we make every day. It proves growing older doesn’t have to be a slow, steady decline. Instead, seniors can choose to incorporate components of successful aging into their lifestyles, making it a time of continued growth and maximized potential throughout all aspects of life – social, intellectual, physical and spiritual.

That’s why at First & Main of Auburn Hills we’re dedicated person-centered programming that contributes to the overall wellbeing of our residents through the Masterpiece Living initiative, so they live well and thrive throughout their years. Along with our sister communities in Michigan, First & Main of Auburn Hills exclusively partners with Masterpiece Living to provide our residents with this statistically proven path to a longer, healthier life. Bringing together all of the elements shown to promote overall health and wellness, First & Main offers a multitude of resources and opportunities for residents to grow as individuals and lead more fulfilled lives by integrating the four components of successful aging.

Components of Successful Aging:

  1. Physical: Understanding your body and its relationship to nutrition and physical activity.
  2. Intellectual: Expanding your knowledge and skills through creative, stimulating mental activities.
  3. Spiritual: Recognizing the desire for meaning and purpose, as well as appreciating life and the world around you.
  4. Social: Contributing to your relationships, community and environment.

The exclusive programming offered at First & Main of Auburn Hills as part of this revolutionary approach helps residents maintain physical and mental skills, reduce risk for disease and injury, and stay productive and engaged with life. Our community’s entire culture revolves around these core ideas and best practices, resulting in a successful aging experience as proven by research.

What’s needed for successful aging?

  • A physically active and mentally stimulating lifestyle

  • Purpose and meaning in your life
  • Environments that support this lifestyle
